Belmont Alliance Civic Association - RCO Committee

Our Mission Statement

 

Is to be the conduit for zoning meetings requested by developers to be heard by residents, property owners, stakeholders, retail owners or operators and tenants; in regards to developers.  Our focus  as a RCO is land-use, zoning codes, development, revitalization and housing preservation within the geographical area known as the “Belmont” District yet also known as Census Tracts #106 and #107 in the City and County of Philadelphia. 

 

                          Statement of Purpose

 

The Belmont Alliance Civic Association - RCO Committee was formally know as Holly Street Garden Group or Belmont West RCO.  Our RCO committee formed in the year "2012".  The meetings we hold as a RCO Committee summarizion of the opinions and concerns of the "Belmont District" residents and others in regards to the Variance Cases presented by the developers; within our geographic area.  The variance cases we hear are normally requested by the site owner and/or legal council who would like to make changes to a pre-existing structure/s of the proposed site/s. 

 

The Belmont Alliance Civic Association - RCO Committee members consist of some of BACA board members, residents, stakeholders, retail owners and others who have a legitimate voice in the matter as we uphold the RCO Zoning Rules mandated by the City of Philadelphia Home Charter and City of Philadelphia Planning Committee and City Council.  

 

Our meeting facilitator Bettye Ferguson chosen to due to her experience and a graduate of the Citizens Planning Institute goverened by the City of Philadelphia Planning Commission is now an Alumni in zoning matters.  She continues to keep her knowledge base up to date as the Chair of this Committee...

Tuesday - July 18, 2017 we invite the neighbors who live in the area of 808 north 40th Street to hear a Variance Zoning Case. 

 

A request by the owner to place a private lounge in this Location utilizing two stories... 

 

The meeting location:  814 north 41st (at Parrish) Street, Philadelphia PA - Time:  6 pm

 

 

              Zoning Variance Case

Tuesday - July 18, 2017 we invite the neighbors who live in the vicinity of 811 north Preston Street to hear a Variance Zoning Case.

 

A request by the owner to change the zoning code from a single family dwelling to a multi-family dwelling.

 

The meeting location:  814 north 41st (at Parrish) Street, Philadelphia PA - Time:  6 pm
