BACA-CDC's "2019" Movie on the Block Event - 08-30-2019
Bettye Ferguson, CEO of Belmont Alliance Civic Association along with Rosie Jacobson, Philadelphia Film Society co-host. They kicked off Labor Day Weekend celebrating their 2nd Annual Event with live entertainment, marching band & steppers, arts-n-crafts, backpack and school supplies giveaways, food, and a lot of fun!
POP-UP Cup Board - 01.14.2019
A collaboration between People Emergency Center, Belmont Alliance Civic Association and the Sarah Allen Senior Homes - Tenant Council pulled together to do a Popup Food Distribution Event. The Seniors residents will be gain fresh vegetables, fruits and other healthy items every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month. Belmont Alliance Civic Association 5th Annual Youth Holiday Outreach Program
B.A.C.A.'s Youth Enrichment Program hosted this fun filled event on Saturday, December 22, 2018. The event was held at Second Antioch Baptist Church located at 912 north 41st Street. Our families had a hot meal thanks to the GNR Group LLC, played games, did crafts, seen a Magic Show and then visited Santa in his workshop to receive their gift. A special thanks goes out to the Continental Society LLC, Toys for Tots, Ray Bailey, Amen Brown, Jacquez Mini Market, the BACA team and all of the volunteers who helped this day be a success...
B.A.C.A.'s 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Basket and Turkey Giveaway...
On Monday - November 19, 2018 B.A.C.A. was able to feed multiple families within the Belmont Community. We provided "20" families a full Thanksgiving Holiday Basket and "40" families received Turkeys.

B.A.C.A.'s 2018 Back to School Outreach Event
On Tuesday - September 5, 2018 B.A.C.A. partnered with Drexel University and its West Philadelphia Promise Neighborhood initiative in doing our 2nd Annual Back Pack & School Supply Giveaway. We distributed 1,000 Book Bags with School Supplies to children who attend the Belmont Charter Schools (Belmont Family Charter, Belmont Elementary, Belmont Middle School and Belmont H.S.). This initiative was steered by the Promise Neighborhood and it's goal in helping children from Cradle to Career with tools they need to succeed.
The Promise Neighborhood is a US Department of Education-funded program to support “cradle to career opportunities for children living or attending schools in the West Philadelphia Promise Zone. The Promise Zone is roughly 2 square miles that is bounded by 48th street to the west, the Schuylkill River to the East, Girard Avenue to North and Sansom Street to the south. The program seeks to improve education, health, and economic successes for children, their families, and communities.

"Lunch With Santa"
This year's event was held at Second Antioch Baptist Church, Joe Nock Pastor on Saturday - December 23, 2017. The children seen a mystical magic show by "Mystique". They listen to sounds of the season, sang a song to cheer on Santa, played a game for free prizes also ate lunch with their parents, Santa and the BACA Elves thanks to Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell & the City of Philadelphia's Activity Fund. All of the children who attended left the event with a goodie bag, hat, gloves and scarf compliments of GNR LLC, stocking stuffers and Toys from Toys For Tots our Santa. We had a great turnout!
BELMONT'S 7TH ANNUAL HEALTH & RESOURCE FAIR
Belmont Alliance Civic Association and Calvary St. Augustine Episcopal Church teamed up to present our annual Community Outreach Event on September 30, 2017 at 814 north 41st Street.
Our collaboration with multiple agencies helped us "Bring Resources in Arm Reach" to our Neighbors. Everyone enjoyed free food, live entertainment, the Kids Zone, and more...

Urban Thinkscape adds onto everyday objects, embellishes or alters old streetscape designs and presents new designs that get families, moving, thinking, and talking about language, literacy and STEM – all while preserving the joy of learning!
Urban Thinkscape forges one of the first collaborations between architectural design and psychological science. Urban Thinkscape meets individuals and families where they live by embedding playful learning into the activities of daily life.
Belmont Alliance Civic Association's Back to School Supplies Outreach Event happened on September 7th through September 8, 2017. We serviced both Belmont Family and Belmont Academy Charter Schools children in grades K - 8 were all given school supplies to help them prepare for their school year.
We were able to disburse 1,000 back-packs and school supplies throughout the Belmont Community.
